A Night of Psychedelic Comedy with Shane Mauss and Adam Strauss
Come down to Greenwich Theatre for a one night only show!
UK Psychedelic Comedy are hosting their debut event on Thursday the 15th of August, in aid of the 2019 Breaking Convention conference.
About me, I'm an american comedian with a science podcast called 'Here We Are' where I interview the world's life scientists on how the mind works and what makes us who we are. About five years ago I stumbled into psychedelic advocacy after becoming known for expressing my views and psychedelic experiences on popular podcasts like Marc Maron's WTF, Duncan Trussell's Family Hour, The Joe Rogan Experience, Pete Holmes' You Made It Weird' and more. That led to a popular 111 city psychedelic comedy tour with my solo show 'A Good Trip'. The tour led to being the subject of the documentary 'Psychonautics: A Comic's Exploration of Psychedelics' which can be found internationally on Amazon, ITunes and more.
This is my first time doing psychedelic shows in the UK and am thrilled to be joined by Adam Strauss who has been touring with his own psychedelic one-man show 'The Mushroom Cure'. As far as I know we are the only two american comedians doing psychedelic themed shows and this is the first time we will be performing together!
No psychedelic experience is necessary as we both pride ourselves on our ability to communicate these often ineffable experiences to anyone willing to come in with an even slightly open mind. Join us to laugh and learn in support of one of the most under appreciated potential tools for wellness and understanding that is currently being researched. Click below for tickets.
